From March 25 to 27, 2026, the 11th Perovskite and Tanner Cell (Yangtze River Delta) Industrialization Forum and the First Space Photovoltaic Technology and Application Innovation Forum were successfully held in Wuxi, Jiangsu.

Space Photovoltaics: The "Star Sea" of Perovskite
In geostationary orbit, about 36,000 kilometers from Earth, space photovoltaic satellites can collect solar energy 24 hours a day, with energy density 5 to 15 times that of the ground, and unaffected by day or night, weather, or seasons.
Space photovoltaics have core advantages such as high energy density, all-weather power generation, and flexible global deployment, making them an important direction for commercial aerospace and new energy sources. However, the harsh requirements for extreme environments, ultra-light structures, and long-life reliability pose extremely high challenges to photovoltaic materials and manufacturing processes.

Compared to traditional crystalline silicon cells, which have issues in space environments such as low conversion efficiency, weak radiation resistance, and poor temperature tolerance, as well as issues like cadmium telluride cells being sensitive to radiation and cadmium volatile at high temperatures,
Perovskite, with its unique advantages such as ultra-high efficiency, ultra-light weight, strong radiation resistance, flexible adaptation, and self-repair, demonstrates unparalleled adaptability in space photovoltaics, low-orbit satellites, and high-altitude long-range drones, rapidly replacing traditional crystalline silicon and cadmium telluride technologies.
However, large-area uniform film formation, precise control of ultra-thin layers, long-term stability, and continuous roll-to-roll preparation are key bottlenecks restricting perovskite from laboratory to industrialization and space applications.
Deep technical cultivation: Solving the challenges of perovskite coating
Targeting multiple process routes such as single-junction rigidity/flexibility and crystalline silicon stacking for perovskite cells, Honest Intelligent Technology directly addresses common industry challenges
Poor flatness of large-sized substrates, large wet film time differences, and difficulty controlling film thickness uniformity;
PI film surfaces have poor liquid repellency and wettability, high difficulty in controlling tension between flexible rolls and coils, and uneven oven temperatures;
Tandem cell wafer tolerances are large, full coating and anti-back fouling are challenging, and cycle capacity is limited;

Single-junction flexible film coating (roll-to-roll) uses constant tension control, ± 3μm high-precision back rollers, imported high-precision correction system, hot air simulation for uniform temperature control, plasma/UV-O₃ surface modification, combined with air knife → online VCD → low-temperature annealing → high-temperature annealing innovative processes, enhancing hydrophilic wettability, adapting to PI membrane thermal sensitivity characteristics, and solving problems of uneven spreading and film thickness fluctuations. Meets the needs of low-orbit satellites and high-altitude drones for the stability, lightness, radiation resistance, and extreme temperature tolerance of ultra-thin functional layers of flexible perovskite cells
Silicon stacking coating at both ends significantly increases capacity through off-chip cutting/retracting, automatic tolerance correction, and multi-wafer simultaneous coating; HTL layer adapts to inkjet printing, perovskite layer insists on slit coating, balancing precision and efficiency to support mass production of high-efficiency tandem cells.
Space-grade rigorous adaptation with enhanced radiation resistance, extreme temperature resistance, ultra-light and ultra-thin, and high-barrier packaging processes provides stable and reliable equipment support for perovskite space scenarios.
