From October 14 to 16, 2025, the 4th Perovskite Technology, Equipment and Materials Forum was successfully held in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Cui Chengnan, Sales Director of Suzhou Honest Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to attend and delivered a keynote report titled "Technical Challenges and Solutions for Crystalline Silicon Tandem Perovskite Coating," sharing the company's technological breakthroughs and innovative solutions in the field of crystalline silicon tandem perovskite coating, which attracted high attention from attending experts and industry peers.


Technological breakthrough: Directly addressing the challenges of crystalline silicon tandem perovskite coating
In his report, Cui Chengnan pointed out that current crystalline silicon tandem perovskite coating technology faces three core challenges: perovskite crystallization quality issues, bottom cell quality issues, and technical difficulties in coating processes.

For bottom batteries, Li Auto's small velvet bottom cells require a pyramid height below 700nm, conversion efficiency greater than 25%, and cost controlled within 50 yuan per cell. However, in reality, the silicon cell pyramid on the market generally exceeds 1000nm, with conversion efficiency below 24%, prices exceeding 200 yuan per cell, and wafer size tolerances being too large, severely restricting the industrialization process of tandem cells.
In terms of coating process, it is necessary to achieve intra-sheet uniformity below 5% and inter-sheet uniformity below 3%, control uneven areas at the start and finish within 1mm, and ensure that full coating and back stains are less than 1% while maintaining the shape of small velvets without missing points, which is extremely technically challenging. Common issues such as uneven coating, brushing, horizontal lines, missing edges, under-coating, or back contamination directly affect battery performance and yield.
Innovative solutions: from equipment selection to process optimization
To address these technical challenges, Honest Intelligent Technology has proposed a series of innovative solutions. For key equipment component selection, the company uses an integrated marble coating base and a 000-grade grinding marble coating platform to ensure equipment stability and smoothness. The design of gantry movement and fixed coating platform effectively reduces cumulative accuracy errors.
Notably, Honest Intelligent innovatively uses dual magnetically controlled linear motors as horizontal drive motors, combined with contactless air-floating rails, achieving zero-friction, high-precision motion control. This design not only avoids overheating, deformation, and friction losses caused by continuous operation, but also meets the requirements for nanoscale motion control, providing hardware assurance for high-quality coating.
In terms of coating processes, the company has effectively solved the issues of full coating and anti-back staining through innovative designs such as off-chip cutting and retracting outside the wafer, pre-coating and overcoating of silicon wafers. By optimizing the parameters of the VCD pump-to-speed pump and using a layered furnace oven for annealing, the crystalline quality of perovskite was significantly improved.

Industrialization Layout: A full product matrix from experimental to production line models
As one of the first domestic manufacturers to develop and produce perovskite slit coating equipment, Honest Intelligent Technology has been deeply involved in this field since 2016. Currently, the company has formed a complete product matrix covering all needs from experimental models to production line models.
The company's experimental flat coating equipment can meet R&D needs from 100 to 300mm, and its innovative design of dual gantries + dual coating heads + dual liquid supply systems provides research institutions with a flexible R&D platform. During the pilot testing stage, the 300*400mm and 600*1200mm tap-time flat coating machines achieved fully automated functions including automatic feeding, automatic pre-coating, automatic wiping, and online monitoring.

Especially in HJT laminated perovskite coating, the company's production line equipment achieves automated production with dimensions of 210*105mm, featuring advanced functions such as automatic transmission, fragment detection, foreign object detection, and automatic positioning, laying a solid foundation for large-scale industrial production.
In the field of flexible perovskite modules, the company's coil-to-roll coating equipment also performs excellently. The efficiency of large-area flexible modules measuring 350mm × 1050mm has reached 17.75%, demonstrating promising industrialization prospects.
Technical exchange: Exploring the industrialization development path of perovskite together
During the forum, guests also jointly toured the GW-level perovskite solar cell production line of Kunshan GCL Optoelectronics and engaged in in-depth discussions on the industrialization progress of perovskite technology. Cui Chengnan stated that Honest Intelligent Technology will continue to work closely with industry partners to jointly promote the industrialization of perovskite technology.

To date, Honest Intelligent Technology has established partnerships with dozens of research institutions and enterprises, including the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ningbo Institute of Materials, Jidian Solar, GCL Optoelectronics, Huasheng New Energy, and JA Solar. Its products have also been exported to markets such as Japan and the United States, demonstrating the company's technological strength and international competitiveness.
