From April 11 to 13, 2025, the 3rd National Conference on New Solar Cell Materials and Devices was held grandly in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Co-hosted by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Guangxi University, and the China New Materials Academic Center, the conference brought together many experts, scholars, researchers, and industry elites in the solar cell field to discuss the latest progress and future development directions of the industry. **Suzhou Honest Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to exhibit and delivered an important report at the conference, and its innovative achievements in perovskite photovoltaic coating technology attracted much attention.

Honest Intelligent Technology has long focused on the R&D and manufacturing of high-precision slot-die coating equipment, accumulating profound technical strength and rich practical experience in the field of coating technology for the solar cell industry. As an important force in promoting industry technological progress, its invitation to attend the conference is a high recognition of its outstanding position and technical influence in the industry. With years of technical accumulation, the company is contributing significantly to the industry's development.

During the conference, Cui Chengnan, Sales Director of Honest Intelligent Technology, delivered a report titled "High-Precision Coating Technology Required for Perovskite Photovoltaics." He deeply analyzed the many challenges currently faced by sheet coating in perovskite photovoltaic applications. In terms of equipment precision, traditional coating die height adjustment methods are outdated and cannot meet the high precision requirements of production demands. Poor flatness of the coating platform and unstable horizontal drive seriously affect film uniformity and product quality. Insufficient grinding precision and corrosion resistance of the coating die, as well as unstable and poorly scalable program design, are also issues.

Post-process steps also face difficulties. In the pre-curing stage, air knife parameters are difficult to control precisely; during vacuum extraction, there are deficiencies in extraction direction and uniformity of cavity exhaust; during annealing crystallization, the uniformity of heating stages and ovens is hard to guarantee. On the solution process route, the crystallization speed, orientation, and defect density are extremely difficult to control during large-area perovskite coating, and the film layer is prone to pinholes, cracks, phase separation, etc. Each step of solution treatment and solvent formulation also has a critical impact on coating results.

To address these pain points, Cui Chengnan proposed a series of innovative solutions.

In equipment design, following the "four flatnesses and five stabilities" principle, by using dual independent servo motors (with linear encoders), high-precision servo motors or linear motors (with linear encoders), and linear guides/air-floating guides, the oscillation precision is controlled to <±2μm and flatness to <3μm. The coating die uses SUS316L corrosion-resistant stainless steel, equipped with micrometer probes achieving adjustment precision of 2μm, and the liquid supply system can achieve precision of 0.01μl/s. The independently developed PLC/industrial computer control program is highly stable and operable.

For post-process steps, pre-curing, vacuum extraction, and annealing crystallization are fully optimized. The material, surface roughness, and air outlet uniformity of the air knife are precisely controlled; key factors of vacuum extraction are optimized; heating uniformity of heating stages and ovens during annealing crystallization is ensured. In terms of solution process, stirring time, filtration pore size, and bubble treatment are precisely controlled, solvent formulations are optimized, and appropriate process formulas are explored, effectively improving solution stability and reducing defects in the perovskite film layer.

Cui Chengnan's report sparked heated discussions among attendees. Many industry professionals exchanged views with the Honest Intelligent Technology team on related technical issues and gave high praise to its innovative achievements. Honest's exhibition and report sharing at the conference not only demonstrated the company's leading strength in perovskite photovoltaic coating technology but also provided new ideas and directions for industry development, promoting deeper integration of industry, academia, and research. This is expected to drive the solar cell materials and devices industry to a new stage of development, injecting new momentum into the efficient and stable production of solar cells and the sustainable development of the photovoltaic industry.
